“In leading event planning at Tate for more than a decade, Heather set new standards in gallery entertaining which are now followed by others.”
Nicholas Serota, Director, Tate

I am an independent consultant specialising in strategic events advice and event delivery for the cultural, higher education and wider not-for-profit and corporate sectors. My knowledge and expertise comes from over 20 years’ experience within major cultural institutions.

I help my clients extract the greatest possible advantage from their events whatever their purpose – be it profile-raising, fundraising, thanking existing stakeholders or cultivating new ones. I advise on all elements of event planning from the earliest feasibility stage through to evaluation, all the while ensuring they are appropriate for the audience, meet their objectives, and are impeccably managed – regardless of their budget or scale.

Organisations wishing to review the viability of their spaces as venues for events can also benefit from my consultancy. I offer solutions to expand programmes and increase revenue when there may be competing pressures on resources and where the integrity of the organisation must be maintained.

I am known for being pragmatic and professional, for setting exceptional standards and for my ability to win the trust of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Long-established in this sphere of work, I have a wide network of contacts and can access expertise in related fields if required.

“Heather did an outstanding job. She was thorough, efficient and completely reliable. The review she conducted provided the basis for a completely new event delivery structure at The Art Fund, and helpfully clarified the objectives and processes to be followed.”
David Barrie, former Director of The Art Fund
